TEDxYouthDay – November 20, 2010

On November 20, 2010 — Universal Children’s Day — TEDx organizers across the globe will host events for (and by) young people.

TEDxYouth@WestCork is an independently organized event licensed by TED. Speakers and presenters ages 13 to 18 will present their ideas, insights, thoughts and hopes at our Universal Children’s Day event.

TEDxYouth@WestCork provides a one-of-a kind opportunity to engage in the sharing of big ideas and deep discussions with others who believe in living intentionally and with meaning in our world.

The theme for TEDxYouth@WestCork is “Rebel With A Cause” and we’ll be looking at all the ways youth are and can be empowered to shape the world we live in.

TEDxYouth@WestCork Submissions For Speakers

We are currently inviting submissions from those interested in being speakers at TEDxYouth@WestCork 2010.
The theme is “Rebel With A Cause?”.

It is open to anyone aged 13-19 years old.
Submissions can be made by email to tedxwestcork@gmail.com outlining your proposed talk, which should be informative, engaging, amazing and inspiring. All presentations must be under ten minutes and can be sent either in essay form or with a link to your video uploaded onto youtube.com.
So show us the real you, dream big and engage our emotions. Can you really be a rebel with a cause?

Because we can only have a certain number of speakers, TEDxYouth@WestCork would like to invite young people 13 to 18 to submit their own short (1-3 minute) videos to be screened during the event. To submit your video, upload it to YouTube from your own account and email the link to tedxwestcork@gmail.com .

Please note: By submitting your video, you acknowledge that you have permission to use the images and clips in your submission, AND you are giving us (TEDxYouth@WestCork) and TED permission to use your video before, during and after our event.
